Know Your Knitting! Let Bex show you how to tell knits from purls, right from wrong sides, how to fix simple mistakes and more!

Reasons to learn Continental knitting:

If you haven't yet learned to knit, let us recommend learning the continental method. It is the most ergonomic knitting technique and used by more knitters around the world than any other style of knitting.

If you already knit, are you a "thrower" (aka English method)? This is your chance to learn to "pick." It's handy to be able to knit both ways.*

If you are left-handed you will find continental knitting easily adjusts for the left handed knitter without having to learn to make pattern adjustments that would be necessary if you actually knitted English style with your left hand.

Come to class with needles and yarn, or we can help you select some to purchase in the shop. We want to help you learn to know YOUR knitting, so bring questions!

*It's especially useful with Fair Isle knitting. If you can knit with both hands, you can carry one color on one hand and the other on the other hand. With a special technique for twisting the yarns as you knit and without removing your hands from your knitting, you can learn to knit Fair Isle at nearly the same speed as your plain knitting.
